Gray Academy was featured both locally and nationally on radio (CJOB), television (CTV & Sun TV Toronto), in the newspaper (Winnipeg Free Press) and on-line (Huffington Post) as a result of its Buddy Bench program. The launch of Gray Academy's Buddy Bench has drawn the attention of many who contacted the school to learn more about the bench and its educational program (The bench where a child who is lonely, sad or feeling left out or wanting someone to play with can sit and then be joined by another student or students who will make them feel welcome, included.) The bench is a rage in Europe, and a way of teaching young people respect , empathy for others, and the importance of kindness and being welcoming to others. It's a way of ensuring "no child is left out," Morris Henoch told Sun TV.
Most recently, Gray Academy was also featured in the Globe and Mail's article (Sept. 25) "Jewish schools give kids identity, academics and connectedness" featuring Jewish Day Schools across Canada.
